Americans Moving Again in an Improved Economy

American households are moving again following a decline in relocations during the recession, due in part to improving personal finances and recovering housing markets.

Clark County in Nevada and Pinal County (south of Phoenix) in Arizona were among those that received large influxes of people last year.

Traditionally, about 17% of families move each year, but during the recession that number fell to as low as 11%. The number of moving families has partially recovered to about 15% after two straight years of improvement.
