Toyota Moving U.S. Headquarters to Plano, TX

hamilton-zanze May 02, 2014

Toyota announced that it will relocate its U.S. headquarters—and 4,000 jobs—from Southern California to Plano, TX by 2017. The Plano migration will allow Toyota to consolidate all of its manufacturing, finance, sales, and marketing divisions on one 70-acre campus.

The move is expected to bring more executive and professional-level jobs to the local area and adds to the increasing roster of high-profile companies already doing business in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro. The move also underscores companies’ steady exodus from California in search of cheaper land and labor.
