Austin Is Top U.S. City for Tech Job Growth

Austin is the #1 city in America for tech job creation, according to Forbes’ latest rankings. The metro led the nation with 73.9% tech industry job growth from 2004 to 2014.

Houston also made the top 10, at #4 with 42.3% growth. Salt Lake City was #6 with 62.4% growth, followed by Seattle at #7 with 58.3% growth.

The U.S. Commerce Department projects employment growth in STEM industries will continue to outpace the rest of the economy through 2018.
