Construction Firms to Add Jobs Nationwide
According to a survey of over 800 construction firms, 41% plan to add workers in 2014 while 2% are planning layoffs. In 2013, 23% of construction firms laid off workers. One of the greatest obstacles to fulfilling this demand will be finding qualified workers. Over 60% of the surveyed construction firms claim they are having difficulty filling certain key positions due to poor training programs for construction jobs and an increase in health insurance costs.
