Multifamily Permits Rise in Colorado

hamilton-zanze December 22, 2013

In Colorado, both single-family and multifamily permits increased 25% year-over-year over in the first 10 months of 2013, continuing the strong growth exhibited over the past 4 years. The Colorado Division of Housing reports that, as expected, permit growth tapered somewhat from the 85% annual increase that occurred from 2011 to 2012.

Although month-to-month numbers can be erratic, multifamily permits in October jumped to 1,306, a 6-year high for the month and an impressive 109% increase from a year earlier.
