Portland Home Prices Rose 16.2% in April

Portland area home prices, including distressed properties, rose 16.2% in April compared to the prior year, to an average of $293,600. Nationally, home prices rose 12.1%. Month-over-month, Portland prices increased 2.8% from March.

Oregon ranked fifth in the nation for home price appreciation at 15.5%, after Nevada (24.6%), California (19.4%), Arizona (17.3%), and Hawaii (17%). When distressed properties are excluded, every U.S. state saw home prices appreciate in April.
