Job Fairs Underscore Hiring Activity in Arizona

Employers and jobseekers are taking advantage of large hiring events held in central Arizona. Approximately 1,200 jobseekers attended State Farm’s job fair in Tempe on May 29th, while 40 employers were scheduled to appear at Goodwill’s job fair on June 5th. The list of 40 employers included Banner Health, Arizona’s largest private employer.

A State Farm representative said the company wanted to double its Arizona employment base to 8,000 employees.
