U.S. Home Prices Are Going Up, Up, Up

hamilton-zanze June 05, 2013

In March, five cities saw their highest monthly home price gains in seven years: Portland, Charlotte, Seattle, Los Angeles, and Tampa. Portland, OR home prices were up 2.7% month-over-month and 12.8% year-over-year, due to low supply and high demand fueled by low interest rates. All 20 tracked cities recorded year-over-year increases, with 12 cities posting double-digit increases.
