Reno Tesla Factory to Employ 6,500

Tesla Motors finalized incentive agreements with Nevada state officials to build a $5 billion lithium-ion battery plant in Reno, NV. The $1.3 billion incentive agreement allows the company to apply for certain local tax refunds and requires Tesla to employ at least half of its construction workers from Nevada. Tesla has invested $183 million in the plant and expects to employ 6,500 people upon its completion.
