Rent Growth Hits a Post-Recession High

Effective rents grew 3.4% in April and 3.2% year-over-year—the best growth rate since the U.S. began recovering from the Great Recession. Occupancy also rose to 94.8%.

The fastest-growing markets were concentrated in Texas, Florida, and California, with Class B properties leading the way.
